The firm’s client received a settlement for the family of an 82-year-old man who was killed when the driver of the private ambulance he was riding in crossed the center line and struck a dump truck head-on. The decedent was being transported home from the hospital after having undergone a medical procedure. We learned in discovery that the ambulance driver was using his cell phone when he crossed the center-line and struck the dump truck.
