Car Accidents in Richmond’s South Side

Car accidents like the one at Perry Street and West 25th Street are all too common in Richmond’s south side. Early morning conditions—such as low visibility, driver fatigue, and distracted driving—often increase the risk of collisions. Intersections in busy neighborhoods become especially dangerous when drivers speed, ignore signals, or fail to yield.

Even a brief lapse in attention can lead to devastating results. In accidents like this one, victims may suffer severe injuries, including whiplash, spinal cord injuries, concussions, or internal bleeding. These injuries often require extensive medical treatment and rehabilitation, causing emotional, physical, and financial strain on victims and their families.

Types of Compensation for Car Accident Victims

Victims of car crashes in Virginia may be eligible for several forms of compensation. This includes payment for medical expenses, such as emergency care, hospitalization, physical therapy, and prescription medication. Victims can also seek compensation for lost wages if their injuries prevent them from returning to work, and for pain and suffering—the emotional and physical distress caused by the crash.

If negligence played a role—such as speeding, distracted driving, or running a red light—the at-fault driver may be held legally responsible for damages. In cases involving permanent injury or disability, victims may also pursue compensation for loss of earning capacity and long-term care costs. Having a trusted attorney ensures every loss is properly documented and pursued.
