Henrico Woman Dies After Exiting Moving Vehicle in a tragic accident that has left the community in shock. The Henrico County Police Division is investigating the incident, which occurred when a woman stepped out of a moving car, was struck by the door, and subsequently run over.
Details of the Incident
Authorities responded to a medical emergency call at 11:34 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, in the 2300 block of Pathfinder Circle. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 52-year-old woman lying in a driveway with severe trauma. Officers performed life-saving measures until Henrico Fire personnel arrived and transported her to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Tragically, less than a week later, on Tuesday, Feb. 18, the woman succumbed to her injuries. Preliminary investigations suggest she had exited a moving vehicle, was struck by the door, and fell to the ground, leading to the vehicle rolling over her.
